Hi, I'm PlumsPix, a Portsmouth, UK-based artist known for my bold daisy art, striking colour palettes and expressionist landscapes. Maybe you are wondering, "Why PlumsPix?' … well… my nickname is Plum!
A FASCINATION FOR VIBRANT COLOUR
As a colourist, I deliberately employ the power of colour to create visual depth and tension. I have always held a fascination for colour and its effect on our emotions, this interest encouraged me to study Graphic Design and then set up my own graphic design business in 2000.
HAPPY DAY-SEE ART
Alongside my expressions paintings, is my 'Happy Day-see' series, featuring huge daisies with street-art edge – backdrops inspired by nature, grids, and my favourite artists. Daisies evoke an emotional response and my work aims to encourage hope and "strength to thrive against all odds" … just like Daisies, which can thrive and grow practically anywhere!

MY PLUMSPIX ART JOURNEY
From selling my art prints and abstract paintings, and having exhibited in several art galleries since 2022, including Yellow Edge Gallery, Imagination Gallery and exhibiting at the annual Portsmouth & Hampshire Art Society show and I have continued to strengthen my presence in the local art scene. I supported the LOOKUP Portsmouth Street Art Festival, a yearly project, by taking part in a big paste-up jam on Southsea seafront.

Happy Day-see is my series of contemporary, graphic styled, daisy art. Available as Limited and Open Edition Art Prints.
My print work combines vibrant colour and multiple layers, designs can take weeks of development to achieve the complex graphic results.
ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONIST LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS
In my abstract painted landscapes, I work in a spontaneous, intuitive way by weaving lively, textured layers of acrylic paint – using various methods; art or decorating brushes, palette knives or even … kitchen utensils like dough cutters! I enjoy the process and how the work evolves, but wish the layers of paint would dry quicker! The graphic designer in me leans towards incorporating gridded elements.
